Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery has lauded the contribution of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia which he said has resulted in the drastic reduction of corruption.
Speaking at an annual party held for constituents at Kokligu, Mr Dery also commended him for stabilising the country's currency against other major currencies.
He noted that Dr.Bawumia has demonstrated that he is capable of leading the country to prosperity and should not be denied the opportunity to improve the economic conditions of the people.
"He's the man who can improve this country. He's already shown us his works through digitalization and that is one way of fighting corruption," he stated.
Mr Dery further highlighted the work he has executed in the Nandom constituency.
He listed major developmental projects including the construction of roads and bringing portable water into the constituency.
According to him, his constituents would not have witnessed such growth without his input. He therefore called on NPP delegates to retain him as a parliamentary candidate in the upcoming NPP primaries.
He believed he would be the party's best bet in retaining the Nandom seat for the party in Parliament come December 7.
Despite being the incumbent Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be vying for presidency in the upcoming general elections.
