The Head of the Hezekiah Apostolic Prayer Ministry Ghana has advised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to select its running mate from the Volta Region or risk losing the 2024 general elections.
Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei said picking a running mate from the NDC’s stronghold would lead to an increase in the party’s electoral fortunes, as electorates in the region would feel appeased.
Addressing the press in the Volta Regional capital of Ho, he said that he got a prophecy which indicated that Leslie Mensah Tamakloe, an IT guru, is the special one to help the NDC win the general elections, hence must be named running mate.

“The word of God says as we stated in 2020, His Excellency John Maham, don’t go to Central Region for your running mate. We even showed you Leslie Mensah Tamakloe born on the 18th of April 1957. I have told them, that if they don’t like Leslie Mensah Tamakloe, go and look for somebody from the Volta Region, from Anlo, born on the 18th of April 1957, and take him along. But me, I haven’t seen anybody else apart from this man. and my God has told me he has given the victory to this man, so with this man you will win”, he said.
He added that his book titled ‘What the NDC Must Know Before 2020’ contained several revelations about the NDC, which were ignored by leadership leading to the party losing the 2020 general elections.
Apostle Kwabena Owusu Adjei indicated that picking a running from the Central Region was a bad omen for the NDC, as the souls of the Founder of the NDC, the late Jerry John Rawlings and the late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills did not approve of Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang’s selection.
“When they evoked the spirit of Attah Mills, he rejected Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang. But we told you to go for the seed of Rawlings, it would have brought peace between Attah Mills and Jerry Rawlings, even after death. And you would have also won the elections”, he said.
He advised the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, John Mahama to “correct his mistake” and name Leslie Mensah Tamakloe as his running mate to secure victory for the opposition party.
He advised the party to pay particular attention to its strongholds, the Volta and Northern Regions to enhance its electoral fortunes.
He warned that failure to do this would give room to the governing New Patriotic Party to make inroads and win over electorates to maximize their voting patterns.
“That was why I told you in 2020, Jesus said you can’t go into a strongman’s house without first taking care of the strongman. So in 2020, the strongman, Jerry Rawlings, has been taken care of. In 2024 if they don't respect the word of God from my mouth, a flood will carry NDC away”, he explained.
