On an inspection tour of the Volta and Oti regions, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of road construction works undertaken by First Sky Construction and other contractors.

The Minister commended the construction companies for their dedication and high-quality work and urged them to continue their efforts with the same level of diligence and excellence.

"I am impressed by the road construction works being carried out by First Sky Construction and other contractors in the Volta and Oti regions," said Hon. Asenso-Boakye. "Their commitment to excellence and timely delivery is commendable. I encourage all contractors to emulate this hard work and dedication to fulfil their mandates."

During his visit, the Minister addressed concerns regarding the state of some roads in Hohoe, acknowledging the challenges faced by the local communities. He assured residents that the government is aware of the issues and is taking steps to ensure that these roads are repaired promptly.

"The government is committed to addressing the bad roads in Hohoe and other affected areas. We understand the importance of good road infrastructure for the economic and social well-being of our citizens, and we will ensure that these roads are fixed soon," he added.

The inspection tour also included a detailed review of the ongoing Asikuma-Have road project, a critical 45-kilometre stretch that is essential for improving connectivity and boosting local economies. The CEO of First Sky Construction, Oliver Aqua Techie, provided an update on the project's progress, stating that the work is currently about 58% complete.

"We are making steady progress on the Asikuma-Have road project, and we are confident that we will complete it within the stipulated timeframe. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that the project meets the highest standards of quality and durability," said Mr Aqua Techie.

The tour highlighted the government's commitment to improving road infrastructure across the country and ensuring that contractors deliver on their promises.
