Senior High School students have been cautioned to stay away from political violence as we approach the December 7 elections.
Hundreds of thousands of SHS students are graduating from various high schools across the country for the 2024 academic year.
Speaking at a special graduation and counselling ceremony for final year students of the Sogakope Senior High School, District Director of Education for South Tongu, Madam Celestine Sewornu Korsi-Agordo called on students to remain disciplined as they leave the care of their teachers.

"This is an election year, and these are the moments the young ones are easily carried away. Before you realise, the politicians will use you. If you're not careful, you might end up ruining your lives."
"By this time, they have already flown their children out of the country. Ask yourself why they don't use their children for such things, but you? She quizzed

She warned the students to remain disciplined, humble, and "stay away from any form of violence. When it is time for voting, go out and vote peacefully and go back home. No matter who wins, your future is still ahead of you. Don't go and sacrifice yourself for any political party."
Students of the Home Economics Department made a huge donation of a burner, cylinder, a set of cereal bowls, and a blender to the department.

Various counselling sessions from parents, Old Students' Association, and teachers have emphasised discipline, focus, and dedication to all 2024 Senior High School students who are graduating on September 20, 2024.

Some student leaders have been awarded certificates of achievement for various roles played over the period.

A total of 1,117 final year students have graduated from the Sogakope Senior High School (SOGASCO) for the 2023/2024 academic year
