Cosa-Bright Company Limited emerged winners of the men's football competition at this year's JoySports Invitational tournament.
The engineering and construction firm expertly dispatched their spot kicks, to beat Emigoh Ghana 4-3 in Saturday night's final at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Before that, Cosa-Bright progressed through the knockout rounds through a mix of miserly defending and remarkably ruthless finishing in front of goal.
In the quarter-final match, Cosa-Bright kept Ideal Air Services Limited at bay, before scoring with literally their first meaningful attack, midway through the game.
With the final in sight, Cosa-Bright played their semi-final match against Labadi Beach Hotel with more conviction and were rewarded with another 1-0 victory.
In the final, their precision and calmness under pressure shone through as they held their nerves to win the football competition via penalty shootouts.
JoySports sources say, the team manager of Emigoh spent an inordinate amount of time gulping down bottles of Yomi Yoghurt, instead of preparing his team for the final.
JoySports sources have also confirmed that his conduct is being investigated for further action.
