Business consultant and founder of Ghana's Progressive People's Party (PPP), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, has called for 'serious' changes at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following last weekend's unfortunte incident at Nsoatre.
An Asante Kotoko fan, identified as Francis Frimpong, who is also known as Pooley, was stabbed to death at the Nana Koroman II Stadium during the Porcupine Warriors macthday 19 fixture against Nsoatreman.
The act of violence has led to the arrest of three individuals in connection with the violent disturbances that erupted at the match centre.
The GFA has taken measures to find the cause of the matter while already charging involved parties.
However, Nduom believes these actions are not enough as he calls for more action to be taken.
"The GFA needs a serious overhaul," he shared in a post on Facebook.
"A few people at the top feed on FIFA money and leave the clubs, referees and players hungry.
"What are we waiting for? More deaths, bankruptcies and Black Stars losses?" he quizzed.
As part of the measures, the Ghana FA is set to meet with the Ghana Premier League clubs on Thursday, February 6, while a meeting with the supporters leadership is also in line for Friday.
In the mean time, no Ghana Premier League fixture will be played this weekend.
