Egypt has stepped in as emergency host for this year's CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations after original host Cote D'Ivoire, pulled out just four weeks to the start of the competition.
The Egyptian Football Association and the Egyptian Government had previously submitted a bid to host the tournament.
The opening match has also been pushed back a day and will now commence on Sunday, 27 April 2025 with the Final on 18 May 2025.
Ghana's Black Satellites will participate in the 13-team tournament for the first time since 2021 when they won the competition in Mauritania.
Desmond Ofei's side are in the same group with Cote d'Ivoire, Tanzania and DR Congo, while they will also be joined by another team from UNIFFAC 2.
