President John Mahama has praised the government of the Czech Republic for its support to Ghana’s healthcare sector.
In his address to the media on April 8, following the visit of Czech President Petr Pavel to the Jubilee House, President Mahama highlighted the Czech Republic’s involvement in the VAMID Health Project.
He explained that this partnership had contributed to the construction of a 1,240-bed capacity hospital, as well as 12 units of two- and three-bedroom semi-detached houses for hospital staff.
“These developments have benefited several communities in Ghana, including Suame, Kwabeng, Achiase, Sabronomu, Adu Krom, and Kpong Katamanso,” President Mahama said.
He further expressed his gratitude for the support, emphasising its importance in improving healthcare infrastructure and delivery in these communities.
“This partnership has made a significant impact, and we look forward to further collaboration to strengthen our healthcare sector,” he added.
