The multiple award-winning Harmonious Chorale has concluded its 10-day, 3-nation tour across Togo, Benin, and Nigeria, leaving audiences captivated and reaffirming music’s power to bridge cultures, inspire unity, and celebrate Africa’s shared heritage.
The tour, held from April 25 to 5 May, demonstrated the choir’s exceptional artistry, blending classical, traditional, and contemporary African choral music.
From Lomé to Lagos, the choir’s performances were met with standing ovations, emotional tributes, and collaborations with local artists, proving that music transcends borders.

Special guest , President of the AEA Foundation Madame Marie-Josée Trenou, praised the choir for its role in fostering continental unity and empowering youth. Diplomats, corporate leaders, and local citizens filled the sold-out Grand Rex Auditorium.

The choir also showcased its linguistic versatility with French classical pieces like “La Nuit” and “Duo Des Fleurs”. A surprise birthday tribute to James Varrick Armaah, a renowned composer, further electrified the crowd.
In Nigeria, Sir Olu Okeowo hosted an intimate evening featuring Yoruba hymns such as “Agbo Ju O” and gospel classics like “My Help Comes from the Lord”, moving the elite audience to tears.
The Shell Hall Grand Concert, which was sold out, featured a stunning Nigerian-Ghanaian fusion, including “Messiah Baba Mi” (Dr. Ayo Oluranti) and the pidgin anthem “Una Hear Me So” (David Aina), which had the audience on their feet.
Archbishop Dr. Daniel Okoh, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and a member of the choir’s Board of Governors, lauded the choir’s mission, offering continued support for its vision.

Harmonious Chorale has shown that Africa’s cultural wealth, when shared, becomes a catalyst for unity and progress. We return with hearts full of gratitude to God, our hosts, and everyone touched by this journey.”
