Ghanaian youngster Mohammed Sofo scored in his third consecutive game for New York Red Bulls in their league win over Charlotte FC on Wednesday night.
Sofo scored the second goal in the 4-2 win over their rivals in the Major Soccer League as they recorded their second consecutive win in the league.
The 20-year-old was handed his seventh league start of the 2025 season against Charlotte as the Red Bulls went in pursuit of their seventh win of the season.
Wiktor Bogacz gave the home side the lead after just 14 minutes played after being teed up by Kyle Duncan.
Charlotte drew level moments later.
13 minutes later, the Ghanaian forward got onto the score sheet.
Sofo connected with a brilliant cross sent into the box by Wikelman Carmona to restore his side's lead.

His goal ensured Red Bulls went into the break on a strong foot.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made it 3-1 after scoring from the penalty spot in the 70th minute. Liel Abada reduced the deficit for the away team.
However, Choupo-Moting added his second in added time to restore the two-goal lead.
With his goal against Charlotte, Sofo has now scored four goals in nine games this season, averaging a goal every 134 minutes in the league.
Prior to Wednesday's fixture, Sofo had also scored against Dallas FC and DC United.
