The Offinso North Constituency MP, Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah, of the Ashanti Region, has described fatherhood as a masterpiece of God’s creation.
He said right from the ancient of days, God called and used men to lead his people in diverse situations and circumstances, and that has persisted till now.
Dr Asamoah, in an interview, recounted that God, the Creator of the universe, called, anointed, equipped and empowered men to effectively prosecute his agenda of saving and liberating people.
“Great men like Adam, Moses, Abraham, Joshua, amongst others, were assigned leadership roles to transform society and humanity, ” he recalled.
The MP, who also chairs the Parliamentary Select Committee on Chieftaincy, Culture and Religious Affairs, urged Ghanaian fathers and men in general to have a heart of love, care, kindness and compassion, and with selfless devotion to duty, make the world a better place.
“As parents, guardians, religious, traditional and political leaders, corporate and institutional heads, we must make this place better for ourselves and posterity,” he stated.
Dr. Asamoah extended best wishes of happy Father's Day to President John Mahama, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Akumadanhene, Nana Boakye Akuamoa Boateng II, and all fathers and men in his constituency and Ghana as a whole.
