Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile, has opened up about becoming a father at 25, revealing that it constrained him.
The Zanku crooner shared that after welcoming his son five years ago, he re-evaluated his life and made some adjustments.
Speaking in a recent episode of the ‘Is This A Safe Space?’ podcast, he revealed that the birth of his son also had an impact on his finances, admitting that at one point he was afraid if he could keep up with the expenses of raising the child in London.
“The birth of my son changed me. It made me realise that life was getting more serious. I wasn’t prepared. I started paying house rent in London at 25.
"I was scared I might not be able to keep up with the bills because some people were saying I might not be relevant in the music industry for more than three years.
“I became more serious with managing my finances. Limited spending and started saving for diapers,” he recalled.
Zlatan added that he regretted some of his previous actions after welcoming his son, stressing that his birth restrained him from some habits.
