Fire has gutted portions of the official residence of the Afigya Kwabre South District Chief Executive (DCE), Pearl Ankrah, at Kodie in the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred around 10:00 pm on Saturday.
According to reports, the fire affected parts of the building, which is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Madam Ankrah has yet to move into the residence.

The swift intervention of personnel from the Mamponteng Division of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) prevented the blaze from spreading to other parts of the building.
A video shared by Accra-based TV3 showed the house on fire, with a section engulfed in smoke.
No casualties were reported. The police have commenced investigations into the incident.
