Trade activities in the secondary bond market surged 75.58% week-on-week, hitting GH¢2.12 billion, marking the highest traded volume since 2023.
The prices across the General Category bonds improved, with most activity concentrated at the short end of the curve.
The shorter end of the local currency yield curve accounted for 49% of market turnover.
This recorded a weighted average Yield-To-Maturity (YTM) of 18.15%.
The activity across the belly-to-tail end represented 51% of trades at an average YTM of 18.42%.
Analysts expect positive sentiments to continue driving trade activity in the coming week.
