Ten lucky customers emerged as winners in the second edition of the Star Assurance “40 Reasons to Smile” Promo. The draw, which took place on Wednesday, 9th July 2025, at the Takoradi Market Circle in the Western Region, brought together customers, key stakeholders, and members of the local community.
Winners were randomly selected through a transparent live draw conducted by the National Lottery Authority (NLA). Each person takes home GHS 10,000, bringing the total cash reward to GHS 100,000. The winners were:

Launched in January 2025 as part of Star Assurance’s 40th anniversary, the Star Assurance “40 Reasons to Smile” Promo runs throughout the year and is open to all customers and the general public who buy or renew any of Star Assurance’s motor insurance policies – Comprehensive, Third-Party, Third-Party Fire & Theft or Third Party Extra. Every quarter this year, 10 lucky customers win GHS 10,000 each with the promo climaxing in December 2025 with a grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai for one lucky customer.

Speaking at the second quarter draw event, Mr. Joseph Kingsley Eshun, Western Regional Vice Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) urged drivers in the region to stay committed to Star Assurance. “This promo initiative is real and impactful. I encourage all our drivers and members to continue buying or renewing their insurance policies with Star Assurance.”
Mr. Frank Osae Asamoah, Customer Experience Lead Partner at Star Assurance who spoke on behalf of the company, highlighted the significance of the promo as part of Star Assurance’s 40th anniversary celebration to give back to its customers. Mr. Frank Asamoah also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to celebrating and maintaining strong relationships with its customers while providing reliable protection they can always trust.

With two draws already completed and two more to go, excitement continues to build for the third quarter. Customers and the public are encouraged to buy or renew their motor insurance policies with Star Assurance and stand a chance to be part of the next lucky winners.
