FirstBank Ghana will host its flagship annual staff engagement event, the MD’s Roadshow, on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Now in its sixth year, the Roadshow brings together staff from all branches and departments to reflect, reconnect, and re-energise as the bank sharpens its strategy and customer-focused activities.
Launched in 2019 as a direct engagement platform between leadership and staff, the event has evolved into a defining moment on FirstBank’s calendar. It blends strategy, team bonding, and recognition to shape a high-performance culture. Beyond closing gaps, it offers clarity and resets mindsets to align staff efforts with the bank’s long-term vision.
This year’s edition will be anchored on the ReCulture agenda—a transformational reset across the FirstBank Group aimed at revisiting, realigning, and rebuilding how staff collaborate. ReCulture champions inclusivity, accountability, and collective ownership, underscoring culture as a competitive advantage. It emphasises living the Bank’s values of integrity, innovation, and service excellence while creating an environment where all employees can thrive.
Over the years, the Roadshow has hosted inspirational personalities such as playwright Uncle Ebo Whyte, boxing legend Professor Azumah Nelson, social entrepreneur Shecanic (Nana Afua Serwaa Adusei), and global music icon Sarkodie.
This year, the spotlight falls on Naa Shika Adu, an ex-tennis professional and president of the Africa Tennis Connect Foundation. Her journey from national athlete to advocate for youth empowerment through sport highlights resilience, discipline, and leadership—qualities expected to inspire FirstBank staff as they embrace the ReCulture journey.
The 2025 edition will also feature edutainment, including team engagement sessions, case studies, music, and success stories. Importantly, it will provide an open platform for dialogue between management and staff, reaffirming shared values and strengthening commitment to the Bank’s vision of becoming one of Africa’s most respected financial brands.
Speaking ahead of the event, Victor Yaw Asante, Managing Director and Chief Executive of FirstBank Ghana, said:
“The staff engagement is always a moment of renewal for us at FirstBank. It is a time to come together as one family, reflect on our progress, and refocus our energies to meet and exceed our targets. Through ReCulture, we are reshaping how we work together—living our values, embracing inclusivity, and taking collective responsibility for success.”
As FirstBank enters the final months of 2025, the Roadshow will serve as both a rallying point and a springboard, mobilising staff to push harder, think bigger, and align closely with the Bank’s mission and long-term vision.
