Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo is being laid to rest today, Saturday, August 8, 2026, as family, friends, colleagues, and fans gather to pay their final respects to the actress.
A funeral service is being held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, beginning at 7:00 a.m. She will subsequently be buried in a private ceremony attended by close family members.
Today’s final funeral rites come a week after the first phase of the funeral was held on August 1, 2026, in Laurel, Maryland, in the United States.
The ceremony brought together relatives and members of the Ghanaian community in the diaspora to honour the actress and celebrate her life and legacy.
The funeral activities will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, August 9, with a thanksgiving service at Action Chapel International. The service is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
Beverly Afaglo died on May 24, 2026, aged 42, after a battle with cancer. Her death came just four days before her 43rd birthday.
The actress built a notable career in Ghana’s film industry, becoming a familiar face on television and the big screen. Over the years, she earned admiration from audiences for her performances and contribution to Ghanaian entertainment.
Away from the spotlight, Beverly Afaglo was also known for her devotion to her family. She was a wife and mother whose children remained an important part of her life.
She is survived by her husband and two children.
As she is laid to rest today, loved ones are remembering Beverly Afaglo not only for her work as an actress but also for the memories she created with family, friends, and those who followed her career.
Her contribution to Ghana’s entertainment industry and the memories she left behind continue to live on among those who knew and admired her.
