Clara B. Arthur has officially assumed office as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited, GhIPSS, with her first day marked by a warm welcome from management and staff.
Addressing employees, she stressed the importance of teamwork in meeting GhIPSS’s strategic goals.
“It is an honour coming back to continue what was started and deliver the mandate of GhIPSS. Collaboration and unity are fundamental to our success. Together, we will elevate this institution to new heights and solidify Ghana’s position as a leading payment and settlement system hub in Africa,” she said.
A specialist in digital financial services, Clara B. Arthur brings more than two decades of experience in financial services and technology.
Her career has focused on deploying digital solutions that expand access to underserved communities across Ghana and the wider region.
She is widely recognised for her work on mobile money, fintech adoption, and electronic payment systems.
Her expertise spans strategy, innovation, and regulatory engagement, and she is an active advocate for increasing women’s participation in digital finance.
Under her leadership, GhIPSS is expected to emphasise growth in electronic payments and strengthen the country’s digital financial infrastructure as part of a broader push for financial inclusion.
Management and staff at GhIPSS have expressed support for the new CEO as the organisation embarks on this next phase of development.
