Oil marketing company Petrosol says it is devastated by the tragic incident that occurred on Friday morning, resulting in the loss of life.
The company has extended its deepest condolences to the grieving family and assured them of its full support during this difficult period.
In a statement, Petrosol confirmed that the incident involved one of its vehicles, which was taken without authorisation from its head office premises by a security guard.
According to the company, the individual responsible is not a Petrosol employee but a staff member of a third-party security agency contracted to guard its facility.
“These actions were carried out without the knowledge or consent of Petrosol and constitute a serious breach of the trust we place in our service providers,” the statement noted.
Management stressed that out of respect for the family’s privacy, it will not disclose specific details about the condition of the individuals involved.
However, it said it remains focused on supporting the affected family while cooperating fully with the Ghana Police Service.
Petrosol also revealed that it has begun formal engagements with the management of the contracted security company to address what it described as a grave matter.
The company reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the individual involved is held accountable and pledged to provide verified updates as investigations continue.
“We are cooperating fully with the Ghana Police Service to ensure the individual involved is held accountable and that their investigation proceeds swiftly.
"Our commitment to the families affected by this tragedy is unwavering, and we will continue to support them,” Petrosol said.
