After a brief hiatus, Walk With Lexis, the health-awareness fitness initiative founded by Louis Sakyiamah (Lexis Bill), host of Drive Time on Joy 99.7 FM, will return on Saturday, 27th September 2025.
This edition is being organised in collaboration with the FESTAC Festival, which is currently ongoing in Ghana. FESTAC aims to create awareness on gender-based violence with this walk while encouraging health lifestyles.
Launched in 2016, Walk with Lexis encourages Ghanaians to stay active through walks up the Aburi Mountain, health talks, screenings, aerobics and networking. The walk begins at the Ayi Mensah Police Station and proceeds to the Lodge Tavern, opposite the Peduase Lodge, with stops for aerobics and health education.
Over the years, the event has drawn high-profile personalities, including former Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, former Youth and Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, satirist Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), as well as CEOs , Heads of Diplomatic Missions and celebrities.
In 2018, Walk With Lexis was adjudged Best CSR Event at the Ghana Event Awards, beating other notable community and health-oriented initiatives. It has also received multiple nominations in the CSR category for excellence in community service and event management.
This latest edition slated for Saturday, 27th September 2025, will follow the same model.
According to Lexis Bill, this event is a natural extension of his longstanding health and wellness advocacy, which has positively influenced thousands of Ghanaians and individuals globally.
Numerous participants have reportedly marked improvements in their cardiovascular health since taking part in the walk, in addition to benefiting from the valuable networking platform it provides.
