The Deputy Spokesperson for Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Dr Ekua Amoakoh, has downplayed suggestions of internal rifts within the party, assuring that the flagbearer candidate remains in good spirits despite ongoing individual campaigns by the other flagbearer candidates.
Speaking on Joy News’ AM Show, Dr Amoakoh described the relationship between Dr Bawumia and key party members as cordial and stable.
“We were with him on Sunday for his Thanksgiving. He’s in good spirits. I think everything is fine on that front,” she said.
Dr Amoakoh emphasised that the campaign remains focused and united.
She also reiterated what she described as growing “vindication” of Dr Bawumia’s economic management record during his tenure as Vice President.

“The amount of vindication that is coming on the economic capabilities of His Excellency, the former Vice President, is quite interesting,” she noted.
“Like I’ve said before, what defines leadership is how one responds when there’s a problem.”
The NPP is currently shaping its strategy as it looks ahead to the 2028 presidential elections.
Dr Bawumia, who served as Vice President under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is seen as one of the key figures likely to play a major role in the party’s future direction.
