Ghanaian singer-songwriter Baves O has officially made his music debut with the release of his first single, ‘Volcano’, on 28th October, 2025.
At just 21, Baves O captures the fine line between desire and destruction with cinematic precision. The track paints a vivid picture of romance that both consumes and creates, using imagery of cracked mirrors, burning porridge, and a room full of ghosts. Its verses drift between vulnerability and chaos, while the chorus crowns her as a volcano: a force of nature that sparks passion but leaves only limbo in her wake.
Blending the emotional depth of Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean with the textured groove of Steve Lacy, Baves O delivers a sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. His sonic palette is steeped in late-night introspection, smoky synths, and tender vocals that stretch and crack in all the right places.
“Volcano is about the kind of love that burns too bright – the one that gives you warmth and scars at the same time,” says Baves O.
Baves O’s music sits at the crossroads of soul, R&B, indie pop, and cinematic storytelling. Through sound, he explores the quiet chaos of modern love. With Volcano, he makes a bold first statement and marks the beginning of what promises to be an evocative musical journey.
'Volcano' is available on all digital streaming platforms.
