The Shamamanhene (Chief of Shama), Osagyefo Kwaw Frieku IV, has called for peace and unity among the chiefs and people of the Shama Traditional Area to foster development and progress.
He made the appeal during his official induction as the Omanhene of Shama by the Western Regional House of Chiefs, led by its President and Chief of Essikado, Nana Kobina Nketsia V.
Osagyefo Kwaw Frieku IV warned that continued internal conflicts and chieftaincy disputes could hinder development in Shama, urging all stakeholders to set aside their differences and work together for the growth of the area.
The induction ceremony was attended by several paramount chiefs, including Awuli Atribrukusu II, Chief of Lower Axim, and Awuli Agyenfi Kwame II, Chief of Nsien, along with other members of the Western Regional House of Chiefs.

Addressing the media, the Shamamanhene reiterated his commitment to inclusive leadership and called on all residents to unite in peace to drive development in the Shama District.
At the ceremony, the Nsienmanhene, Awulae Agyenfi Kwame II, advised the newly gazetted chief to uphold the traditions of the stool and show respect to the elders and people of Shama.
Nana Kobina Nketia V, in his remarks, urged the people of Shama to rally behind their Omanhene and support efforts aimed at bringing development to the area.
