MTN Ghana's Y'ello Ladies Network has donated GH₵200,000 to support breast cancer patients and awareness programs. The donation includes GH₵150,000 for the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital's Breast Surgery department to help 14 patients with treatment costs, and GH₵50,000 for Breast Care International to boost public education and early detection efforts.

Speaking at the presentation, Antoinette Kwofie, Chief Finance Officer of MTN Ghana, who is also the president of the Y’ello Ladies Network, disclosed that the initiative reflects MTN’s belief that its success is closely linked to the well-being of the communities in which it operates.

Speaking at the ceremony, Antoinette Kwofie, MTN Ghana's CFO and Y'ello Ladies Network president, emphasized the group's commitment to supporting breast cancer awareness and patient care annually, especially during October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. "Our success is linked to community well-being," she said, thanking staff and partners for their contributions.

Dr. Josephine Nsaful, of Korlebu's Breast Surgery Unit, welcomed the "timely" support, saying it'd cover costs not fully covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme, like surgery and chemotherapy. The unit sees nearly 600 new cases yearly, often with advanced disease due to fear or stigma. "Early detection and treatment work," she stressed, urging community support for patients.
