The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced the launch of the country's first-ever One-Day Expedited Passport Delivery Service.
This new service promises a complete 24-hour turnaround for the processing and delivery of a standard, ICAO-compliant Ghanaian passport.
The expedited service features a streamlined application process, nationwide courier delivery, and a dedicated E-Tracking system for applicants to monitor their document in real-time.
The Ministry has set the application fee for this urgent service at GHS 2,000.
They, however, reassured the public that the existing and efficient standard application system remains fully in place. The standard GHS 350 fee for the Chip-Embedded Passport still stands, with delivery guaranteed within 15 working days via courier at no extra charge.
This innovation is positioned as a critical solution for emergencies and urgent travel needs, such as last-minute business trips or family crises.
Applicants can access the new expedited option through the Ministry's official online portal at passport.mfa.gov.gh.
