Adom FM’s Strictly Highlife is happening today, January 1, at the Palms Convention Centre inside the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, bringing highlife lovers together for a grand New Year celebration rooted in Ghana’s authentic sound.
The event promises an immersive musical experience crafted for Adom FM audiences, highlife enthusiasts across the country, and fans around the world who appreciate Ghana’s rich musical heritage.
As the name suggests, it will be highlife all night, from timeless classics to contemporary rhythms that reflect the evolution of Ghana’s original music.
One of Ghana’s most notable and widely respected giants in the disc jockey field, DJ Billy Ocean, is set to perform live, delivering a carefully curated selection that celebrates the depth and soul of highlife music.
He will be joined by celebrated broadcaster Andy Dosty, who will also take to the turntables, adding his signature flair to the night’s entertainment.

The show kicks off at 8:00 p.m., setting the tone for a vibrant and energetic start to the New Year. Patrons can expect an exciting blend of live band performances and DJ sets, creating a nonstop jam that captures the true spirit of highlife.
Last year’s edition at Silver Tower delivered an electric atmosphere, and this year’s event is expected to raise the bar even higher, with bigger performances and an even richer musical experience.
Affordable ticket packages remain available. Tickets can be purchased at the Joy FM front desk, via short code *725*34048#, at Batsoona Total, or at the gate. Regular tickets cost GH¢200 for single entry and GH¢300 for a double entry.
For highlife lovers, Strictly Highlife is where the New Year truly begins.
