Ghanaian singer Maxzy has released his debut EP, Hunter’s Tale, a seven-track project that captures the emotional highs and lows that have shaped his rise, weaving together themes of pain, loyalty and resilience.
The EP is now available across all major digital streaming platforms.
Building on the momentum from earlier singles including Falsetto, Laptop and Sacrifice, Maxzy uses this new body of work to cement his identity as a rising force in the music scene.
The project unfolds as a cohesive narrative, revealing both the grit and vulnerability behind his journey.
According to him, the EP reflects the guarded perspective he has developed after years of difficult experiences. That tone echoes throughout the project, with Maxzy confronting issues of betrayal and trust. Tracks such as Piece of the Cake and For My People (FMP) explore loyalty under pressure, while Bebree Nabodam and Keep Them Wondering (KTW) delve into keeping a tight circle and staying unpredictable.
One of the standout moments on the EP is Try Me, a bold challenge that pushes his defiance to the forefront. “You better watch yourself,” he warns on the track, delivering the line over a calm yet haunting production.
The tension woven through the project finally gives way on the closing song, Feeling Good, a celebratory release that marks the emotional climax of the EP.
By the end of the story, Maxzy positions himself as the hunter rather than the hunted — a symbolic declaration of how far he has come.
The blend of raw emotion, lived experience, and his signature laid-back vocal style makes Hunter’s Tale a defining introduction to his artistry.
