Takoradi had its turn to go 'All Out' as the nationwide tour of the 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, powered by Smirnoff, arrived in the Western Region with a street party ahead of the highly anticipated Pub Fest at Mouds Bar.

The celebration began with masquerade performances and music through the principal streets of Takoradi, with the street party climaxing at the iconic market square.

The cultural display brought the excitement of the Ghana DJ Awards season into the community as the people danced, cheered, and interacted, setting the tone for the main regional event.

The action then moved to Mouds Bar for Pub Fest, headlined by the delectable DJ Shiwaawa, who rendered an 'All Out' performance that sent the packed venue into total frenzy.

The lineup also featured DJ Shyno, the Western Region’s Best DJ, alongside DJ Bizzy and resident DJ Lynka, with DJ Ebo delivering a special performance.

One of the evening’s highlights came during DJ Shyno’s set, when Kekeli the Party Trumpeter added a live musical touch with some impressive renditions. His trumpet performances complemented Shyno’s selections, bringing another dimension to the set and elevating the 'All Out' energy in the oil city.

The event attracted a massive crowd, with the venue filled to capacity and latecomers struggling to find parking spaces.

The Western Region stop followed the tour’s opening in Winneba, where a street float and cultural display preceded Pub Fest at Tempest Lounge on August 15.

Organised by Merqury Republic and powered by Smirnoff, Pub Fest takes the excitement of the Ghana DJ Awards beyond the main ceremony and into communities across the country. It gives regional DJs a platform to showcase their talent, reach new audiences and connect with the fans who keep their local music and nightlife scenes alive.

For fans, it means they do not have to wait for the main awards ceremony to feel part of the season. They can enjoy performances in their own communities, support familiar names and discover DJs they may not have heard before, while adult patrons enjoy their favourite Smirnoff Pineapple Punch or Black.

The tour also puts a spotlight on the nightlife communities that help sustain DJ culture throughout the year, from the venues that give DJs a stage to the fans who turn up and support them.

This year’s 'All Out' theme brings everyone into the celebration. It calls on DJs to give their best behind the decks and invites fans to bring their energy, celebrate their favourites and make each stop their own.

In Takoradi, that spirit carried from the masquerade-led street party to the performances at Mouds Bar, bringing culture, live music and DJ artistry together in one memorable celebration.

As the nationwide tour continues, Pub Fest is bringing DJs and fans closer together while building excitement for the 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, scheduled for Friday, December 4, at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra, Ghana. Fans can follow the journey to awards night on Joy Prime, the event’s main media partner, which will also broadcast the ceremony live.

Produced by event powerhouse Merqury Republic, the Ghana DJ Awards has become a staple on Ghana’s entertainment calendar, drawing music lovers across generations and reinforcing the brand’s reputation for curating large-scale, well-organised live events.
