The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has commenced its 2026 enlistment exercise for commissioned officers, with prospective applicants expected to begin purchasing application vouchers from Thursday, September 3, 2026.

According to the Ghana Armed Forces, application vouchers will be sold at designated Ghana Post offices across the country at a cost of GH¢200.

In a statement issued by GAF, it said the online application portal will subsequently be activated on Friday, September 4, 2026, allowing qualified applicants to complete and submit their applications.

Interested persons are required to visit the official GAF application portal to access the application process.

"The deadline for submission of completed applications is Wednesday, 23 September 2026. The public is strongly encouraged to obtain information on the enlistment exercise only through official GAF social media handles," the statement read.

The Ghana Armed Forces has, meanwhile, cautioned prospective applicants and the general public against dealing with middlemen, agents or individuals claiming to represent the military in the enlistment process.

It stressed that it does not engage the services of agents or middlemen and does not charge any fees beyond the official cost of the application voucher.

“Members of the public are therefore cautioned against making payments to individuals who claim to be agents, middlemen, or representatives of the Ghana Armed Forces,” the statement said.

The GAF urged the public to rely solely on its official social media platforms and designated contact channels for information about the recruitment exercise.

It said members of the public could also contact 0256 405 104 or send a WhatsApp message to 0256 405 154 for official information or to report suspected fraudulent activities linked to the enlistment exercise.
