Michael Essien hailed his side's Community Shield triumph over Manchester United and hopes it’s the first of many to come this season. The Ghanaian midfield ace was picked by new coach Carlo Ancelotti first on the right of a diamond midfield formation before deploying him in an anchor position after the withdrawal of John Mikel Obi.It was maybe the biggest vote of confidence from Ancelotti for Essien especially with talk that he could use the Ghanaian in a deal to bring Andrea Pirlo to the team.Essien said the win over one of their title challengers was a good beginning.“This is a good beginning for us and we hope we can go on to win more of the titles we will be fighting for.”Essien will be the star attraction at Ghana's international friendly match against Zambia on Wednesday.Source: Kickoff.com
