A Chiropractor at the Spinal Clinic in Accra, Dr Bryan Cox, says failure to treat spinal diseases can cause heart diseases and impotence.He was speaking on the topic ‘Chiropractic and the Spine,” at a programme organized by “Newstart-for-health”, a non-governmental organization, as part of its nationwide campaign to educate the general public on their eating habits as a way of treating ailments.According to Dr Bryan Cox, symptoms such as inability to take a full deep breath, twist or turn one’s head or hip to either side easily and equally; fatigue, low resistance to disease are all symptoms of a spinal problem.He cautioned that the body system cannot endure long hours of sitting and advised, especially, clerical workers stretch intermittently.Dr Cox explained research has shown that those who regularly do this type of exercise perform better than those who sit long hours without getting up.Source: peacefmonline.com
