Nallem Clothing, Engene Petroleum, Barclays Service Excellence Department, and many public-spirited organizations have donated to support flood victims in the capital.
Indigenous clothing line, Nallem led by the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, Linda Kankoh, came to Joy FM’s offices at Kokomlemle to make its donation.
The team donated bags of rice, oil, toiletries, and other items for the benefit of the victims.
More than 150 people lost their lives in a twin floods and fire disaster that hit the capital on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 - a day christened Black Wednesday.
Joy FM is coordinating a massive relief effort to help the victims and survivors put their lives back in order.
Many of the survivors have lost everything in the floods and badly need help.
The station, with support from its listeners and partners, has distributed bales of clothes, truckloads of foods, water, soaps, detergents, bags of rice, medicines amongst others.
Wednesday, oil marketing firm, Engen, came to the studios of Joy FM to donate a truck load of mattresses for the benefit of the survivors.
Like all the other donors, managers of the company say they felt compelled to help, considering the plight of the people.
Enter the Barclays Service Excellence Department who donated water, a scarce commodity for many of the victims.
The Nataraja Youth Club of the Hindu Monastery of Africa, Accra joined the relief effort by donating to the Joy FM campaign.
