Vodafone’s Regional Chief Executive for Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific, Serpil Timuray, is currently in the country on a two-day working visit to the Ghana franchise.
Whiles in the country, she will take the opportunity to engage key stakeholders in the telecommunications industry including Government officials, senior figures at the National Communications Authority (NCA) and a section of the Media.
Serpil also has a long list of engagement activities within Vodafone Ghana including meetings with the Senior Management team and a section of the company’s employees.
Her visit coincides with a period of great excitement for the telecommunications giant; having been ranked the best in voice clarity and 3G internet speed by an independent research agency; as well as sweeping three key awards at the just-ended Ghana Telecom Awards including ‘Best Wholesale Company’ and ‘Telecom Business of the Year’.
Serpil joined Vodafone as Chief Executive of Vodafone Turkey in January 2009.
She was previously General Manager of Danone Turkey from 2002-2008 after commencing her career in 1991 in marketing at Procter & Gamble where she was later appointed to the Executive Committee of Procter & Gamble Turkey.
Serpil was appointed to the Executive Committee of Vodafone Group on January 1st 2014, having previously being appointed to the Boards of Danone Group and Koc University, Turkey.
She is also on the board of Vodacom South Africa.
