Ghana coach Avram Grant has defended under fire goal keeper Razak Braimah for the goal he conceded against Mauritius on Sunday.
The islanders' goal came as a result of set piece which saw the Mirandes shot stopper caught unprepared for the Andy Sophie connection at the end of the cross.
Braimah has since been blamed for the ‘soft’ goal, which came when Ghana were cruising at 4-0 and hardly dented the 7-1 result, but Avram was strong in his defense, regardless.
"Our goalkeeper kept four clean sheets in six games and he did a very good job," he said.
"He is one of the best and also the rest of our players. Sometimes we make little mistakes but the most important is how we recover. Like every game it wasn’t perfect, not even for the best team in the world."
"But I suggest to you to concentrate about the good things because you are a supporter and I am a coach and I will concentrate on the other things."
Braimah made his debut for Ghana in August 2013 and was first choice in Ghana's run to second in the recent Afcon, where he missed the decisive penalty at the death.
