Joy FM’s relief effort to solicit support for floods and fire victims continues to receive donations from organizations and benevolent individuals.
The 1987 Year Group of the Achimota School led by Welfare Commette Chairman, Gyasiwa Ansah, Tuesday donated items worth thousands of cedis in a short ceremony at the station’s office in Accra.
The items included bags of rice, cartons of cooking oil, toilet rolls, shoes and used clothing.
The group after a tour of the disaster scene, met with victims who happened to be bakers and who lost everything through the disaster.

According to the coordinator of the group, Jojo Acquah, the old students replaced the lost tools of the bakers, in addition to a start up capital to put the victims back in business.
Mr. Acquah said members of the group are part of the proud Joy FM discerning listeners and found it exciting to make their second donation to reach many victims.
The 1994 year group of the School led by Mr. Emmanuel Deozo also donated items to the victims.
The items are 5 cartons of Milo, 5 cartons of key soap, 5 cartons of ideal milk, 2 bundles of toilet rolls and geisha soap.
