Operatives of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and armed policemen have seized a private vehicle belonging to former chief executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).Joe Osei Owusu, who is now Member of Parliament (MP) for Bekwai, tells Joy News the BNI operatives invited the police after they were refused the vehicle yesterday. He said the vehicle which was sold to him when he was leaving office was involved in accident recently with another one belonging to the Coca Cola Company. The MP said the security operatives showed up and confiscated the vehicle just when the company had finished repairing it and was ready to hand it over to him.The former DVLA boss said he would soon serve the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander with an injunction he has secured from the court to stop them from further keeping the vehicle in their custody.“I expect that they would be advised as to the legal position until the court determines whether or not the vehicle was properly purchased. They are not entitled to interfere,” Mr Owusu.Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghanaqqaqaaqqqqqs
