Former Black Stars captain Stephen ‘Tornado’ Appiah has paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at his Manhyia palace in the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi.
The call was to formally extend an invitation to the highly respected king to Dinner and Testimonial Match having retired from active football.
The match will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday June 27, 2015.
Appiah, who was accompanied by officials of organisers Primeval Media to the palace, said he could not organise such a programme without informing the great king.
He later called on the Former Agric Minister, Ato Ahwoiand the Italian Ambassador Laura Carpini.
