Krofu (C/R), Nov. 19, GNA - The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman West, Mr. Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, has donated 50 bags of cement to the people of Krofu near Mankessim to support a library project in the town.He said he was happy that the people had selected a project which would promote education in the community. He said even though they were peasant farmers and traders they had seen the need to give education priority because they had realised that it was only education that could bring them out of poverty.Mr. Quansah advised pupils and students to make good use of the library when completed and to study hard.Mr. Razak Quansah, Mfantseman Municipal Coordinator for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), appealed to the people to desilt the drainage system regularly to prevent flooding which had been disturbing them.He also cautioned them against building in waterways.Source: GNA
