A lecturer of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho has hanged himself at his residence at VORADEP Village in Ho.
Kwaku Ametefe whose body was found in his room on Tuesday July 21 is believed to have committed suicide three days before his body was found.
Some residents who were engulfed by the foul stench from the decomposing body decided to break into the room of the lecturer only to find the body.
The body has since been sent to the Mortuary of the Volta Regional Hospital, Ho.
It is unclear what might have pushed the deceased into taking his own life.
Police sources have confirmed the incident and say investigations are currently underway.
