Hosts Angola kick off the African Nations Cup finals against Mali on Sunday as Togo rescind their decision to withdraw from the competition after Friday's terror attack.
The build up the opening game has been overshadowed by the gun attack on the Togo team bus.
However, calm seems to have been restored in the enclave of Cabinda following Saturday's meeting between Caf officials, government and the four participating teams based in the region.
The opening match takes place at the November 11th stadium in Luanda and it's expected to light up the competition once again.
Angola coach Manuel Jose said attitude would be keen to home success in the first Group A game.
“We have players who went to the last World Cup and Nations Cup and understand what is needed in these situations,” he told a pre-match press conference in Luanda.
