Milovan Rajevac has handed starts to six Nations Cup debutants as Ghana meet the Ivory Coast in a Group B match in Cabinda.
It is the first at the tournament for Ghana, who did not play as scheduled on Monday after the departure ahead of the start of the African Nations Cup by Togo following a deadly attack on their bus in the Angolan enclave.
As usual, Richard Kingson would man the post with Isaac Vorsah partnering Eric Addo in central defence.
Samuel Inkoom and Ibrahim Ayew are the full-backs for the Black Stars in the opening game.
With Michael Essien starting from the bench, Agyeman-Badu and Moussa Narry take over the central midfield duties.
Rajevac has opted to play Andre Ayew and Opoku Agyemang on the flanks while Mathew Amoah and Kwadwo Asamoah lead the line for Ghana.
Starting team : Richard Kingson, Samuel Inkoom, Ibrahim Ayew, Eric Addo, Isaac Vorsah, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu, Andre Ayew, Moussa Narry, Mathew Amoah, Kwadwo Asamoah, Opoku Agyemang
Subs : Philemon McCarthy, Hans Adu Sarpei, Asamoah Gyan, Ransford Osei, Jonathan Mensah, Anthony Annan, Micheal Essien, Lee Addy, Daniel Adjei, Dominic Adiyiah, Harrison Afful, Haminu Draman.
