Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah was named the Samsung Fair Player after Friday's Group B clash against Ivory Coast. The Caf Technical Study Group rewarded the Udinese player for high sportsmanship in the match in which his side lost 3-1 in Cabinda. Asamoah also sparkled in the match with his deft touches and came close to scoring in the first half when his powerful left-foot shot was parried by Ivorian goalkeeper Boubacar Barry. The award is part of Samsung Electronics agreement with Caf as an official sponsor of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations.
