Baafour Addo Kweku, Chief of Ntowkrom near Coaltar, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police for protection.
Baafour Kweku told the Ghana News Agency that on February 13 at about 0900 hours, 20 men, some dressed in military uniforms and armed with sticks and cutlasses, attacked the village when many of the men had gone to their farms.
He said the attackers ransacked their rooms and took away their mobile phones and harvested plantains around the village.
Baafour Addo Kweku said the attackers went his palace but did not meet him and left a message that they would be coming back to the village on Saturday to attack the chief and his people.
The incident had been reported to the police but no arrest had been made.
