The Tema Regional Police Command has appealed to all health workers in health facilities in and around the Metropolis to alert the Command about people visiting the facilities with gun shot wounds.
The appeal is contained in a statement issued by the Command on Wednesday and signed by Chief Inspector Olivia Turkson, Police Public Affairs Officer.
It said on March 29 two middle aged men parked a Toyota Prado and an Opel Astra vehicle at the Raphal Medical Centre to seek medical attention.
The statement said two armed men, in a black VW Jetta, also parked in-between the two vehicles, broke their side glasses and made away with a laptop computer, personal effects and a school bag containing books.
The Command said a patriotic citizen helped the Police Officer on duty at the premises with his car to chase the robbers amidst exchange of gun fire.
It said in the process, the robbers who sustained some bullet wounds, abandoned their VW Jetta car at Community Eight, near Datus Complex School and fled.
A laptop computer, a printer and five different number plates were retrieved from the car.
The Command is also pleading with the public to volunteer information on the occupants of the VW Jetta car for their arrest.
