The 2008 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to use the Easter period to reflect on the past, present and future of the nation.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Nana Addo said, “Just as we see in Easter God's glory and power reflecting in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so must we all observe this period as a time of reflection.”
“As we celebrate Easter, one of the two major festivals of Christianity, with Christmas being the other, this is to wish a Happy Easter to all Christians, Ghanaians, in general, and the New Patriotic Party, in particular. The resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate demonstration of victory over adversity,” the statement added.
“This is a time to reflect on the past; a time to be sincere about the present; a time to look with a gentrified hope to the future,” Nana Akufo-Addo stated.
“Let us celebrate Easter as a real source of hope; that there is a brighter future ahead of us. May God bless the NPP, Ghana and us all,” the statement concluded.
