A pick-up truck carrying 40 bags of flour Wednesday afternoon crashed into a compound of a house near the Niagara hotel in Adabraka, a suburb of Accra.
The truck, with registration number GR2562Z driven by one Kwabena, was carrying the bags of flour from Makola to Ofankor.
The driver escaped unhurt but the owner of the consignment, a woman, who was also in the truck together with two other persons were reported to have sustained minor injuries and were rushed to the Ridge Hospital.
The accident occurred at around 4 pm and drew a large crowd to the scene creating a minor vehicular traffic situation in the area.
The Police upon invitation by residents quickly arrived to tow the truck away.
Kwabena in an interview with Myjoyonline.com said he noticed the brake failure as he approached the Traffic light near the Niagara hotel.
Fearing he could run into human beings Kwabena said he decided to drive into a stationary object- a wall.
He was not however successful as he ran into a man on a motor bike and a woman selling pure water.
The two were said to have sustained minor injuries and were all taken to the Ridge hospital.
All of them have since been discharged.
