The Nkoranza head of the Business Advisory Center (BAC), Mr. Duut Sebastian, has urged the unemployed youth to engage themselves in income-generating activities to become self sufficient.
Mr. Sebastian told the GNA at Nkoranza that BAC started work at Nkoranza in 1999 with the objective of assisting the people to improve upon their economic activities.
He disclosed that the centre had managed to offer training and counseling to some micro and small scale enterprises in the district.
Mr. Sebastian said more than 100 people from selected communities in the district had been trained to acquire knowledge in soap making, gari processing, batik, tie and dye, painting, grass cutter rearing, mushroom farming and mechanics.
He said some of the people had also been educated on credit management so that they could organize themselves into groups to access loans to expand their businesses.
