Delta Air Lines Friday held a training programme for its agents ahead of the scheduled launch of service between Atlanta and Accra. The programme which brought together over twenty top agencies in Ghana, aimed to provide information on the new route and Delta’s product which is scheduled to be launched on the 2nd of June, 2010.
The newest route from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Accra’s Kotoka International Airport will operate four times per week using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. This will bring the number of Delta flights operating weekly in the summer to nine.
According to Pak-Wo Shum, Managing Director of Aviation Alliance, representatives of Delta Air Lines in Ghana, Delta’s launch of nonstop service between Accra and Atlanta on 2 June emphasizes the company’s commitment to its customers. “Our customers are looking forward to getting more travel options with the scheduled launch of the Accra to Atlanta service in June, which complements our existing nonstop service between Accra and New York-JFK“, he said.
