Ernest Chemists Limited, one of the pharmaceutical giants in Ghana, has been honoured as the Best Performed Distributor (2015) in the Africa and Middle East regions by BSN Medical, a multinational.
The company was presented with a plaque and a certificate of commendation.
Additionally, the Brands Manager of BSN products in Ernest Chemist Limited; Mr Ernest Koranteng, who received the award on behalf of his establishment, was also recognised for his commitment and hard work.
According to officials of BSN Medical, Ernest Chemists Limited, which had partnered BSN Medical for over 15 years, has shown consistency in its work by increasing its percentage growth year on year.
In an interview with Joy News, Mr Koranteng upon his return from Abu Dhabi where he picked the award, said “we were really surprised with the outcome of the awards. I knew we were doing well but I least expected we could come out tops”.
He said Ernest Chemists would be motivated by this award to introduce new products and increase market sales over the previous year.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ernest Chemists Limited, Mr Ernest Bediako Sampong, for his part said the company would continue to contribute to the health needs of society.
According to Mr Sampong, “in the competitive global environment, Ernest Chemists believes that its destiny lies in fairness to all partners and stakeholders as well as honesty in all undertakings and perseverance in all things”.
He said every member of the Ernest Chemists family was aware of the highest ethical standards and a sense of mission expected of him/her in all duties, and therefore, “we will continue in our efforts to contribute our quota to the growth of the pharmaceutical industry in Africa and fulfil our social responsibilities as a good corporate citizen in the communities we operate”.
Mr Bediako Sampong also used the opportunity to express gratitude to all customers, business associates as well as the management and staff of the company for working assiduously for the company to attain that height.
Ernest Chemists garnered an appreciable growth in sales ahead of other pharmaceutical giants from South Africa, the Middle East (i.e. Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and Oman), Nigeria and Kenya among others.
