An accident on the Ablekuma-Awoshie road in Accra has left all four occupants in a taxi dead.
The taxi driver, a woman and two males, including a teenager perished when a truck crashed into the taxi at the Palace Town traffic light, an eye witness told myjoyonline.com
According to the eyewitness, the brake of the truck failed as it moved from Ablekuma heading to Awoshie. The impact mangled the taxi.
The accident occurred at about 3:00pm Wednesday, causing heavy traffic in the six-lane highway.
Although the police and fire service officials were there in about an hour, they were helpless because of the mangled state of the taxi.
It took a heavy duty vehicle of a Chinese contractor to lift the taxi off the road.
